Message from Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli Wunya! Welcome to the Sunshine Coast, on beautiful Kabi Kabi and Jinibara Country – a region where sport, nature and community are deeply connected.
It is my pleasure to welcome athletes, supporters and visitors to the Hayden Kenny Classic. This iconic event celebrates surf skills, determination and the strong spirit of competition, while showcasing the very best of our coast.
We are honoured to host you in an internationally recognised UNESCO Biosphere, where our distinctive landscapes – from ocean to hinterland – highlight the importance of balance between people and nature. It is this connection that makes the Sunshine Coast such a special place to compete, explore and relax.
The Hayden Kenny Classic is a spectacular event that inspires us all to stay active, challenge ourselves and support one another in achieving our goals.
I encourage you to embrace everything our region has to offer – from the energy of the event to the beauty of our natural surroundings and the warmth of our local people.
