The Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series rolls into Sydney’s iconic Northern Beaches for the Freshwater 5,000 on 18 January 2025, hosted by the historic Freshwater Surf Life Saving Club. Known for its clean peaks, energetic shorebreak and deep surf lifesaving heritage, Freshwater sets the stage for fast, technical and highly competitive racing as athletes chase 5,000 crucial series points.
With a proud local community behind it and a picture-perfect beach arena, the Freshwater 5,000 promises a full day of elite Iron, Swim, Board and Ski action in one of the sport’s most storied locations. This is surf sport at its purest — tradition, talent and high-stakes racing coming together on one of Australia’s most loved beaches.
