The Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series Britain stop is here, taking the competition onto a truly global stage. As part of the internationally recognised Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series, this event brings together top athletes from across the UK and beyond to compete in one of the country’s most iconic surf locations.
Set against the backdrop of Newquay’s renowned coastline, competitors will face dynamic, often dramatic Atlantic conditions that will create a challenging and world-class race arena. This is ocean sport at its most authentic - unpredictable, demanding, and exhilarating.
Athletes will compete across key disciplines, including Swim, Board, Ski, and the prestigious Oceanman/woman, testing endurance, skill, and adaptability in elite-level racing. Adding to the excitement, the event will feature a 4-person Taplin relay, with teams selected on the day - bringing a tactical, high-energy team element to the competition.
New for this event is the introduction of the ‘Next Gen’ category, designed specifically for U14 athletes. This category focuses on developing future talent, with competitors taking part in Swim and Board races only, offering a supportive yet competitive entry point and a chance to experience racing on an international platform.
As part of a global tour, the event showcases British surf lifesaving alongside international competitors, raising the level of competition and creating an electric atmosphere both in and out of the water.
Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series Britain, Newquay is where British talent meets the world stage, rising stars are introduced, memories are made and Surf Sport truly, excels.
