GREAT BRITAIN 5,000
The Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series arrives at the iconic Fistral Beach tomorrow the 19th of July, bringing the world’s best surf lifesaving athletes to the UK for the thrilling second stop of the 2025/26 Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series.
Known as the home of British surfing, Fistral is set to provide a spectacular stage for athletes from across the globe as they battle for both a win on UK soil and crucial points in the overall series leaderboards.
Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series General Manager Trent Goulding says the energy building across the international Series has been remarkable:
“Globally we are so excited by the growth of the sport, and we can’t wait to bring the next chapter to Great Britain after such a successful first stop in Hossegor last weekend. Great Britain has such an incredible surf lifesaving culture, and we have seen the impact athletes like Piran Phillips, Thais Delrieux, Ellie Mccloy Elise Daudignon and Robert Whittaker have made globally so we can’t wait to see how the athletes rise to the challenge here.”
George Haynes, Surf Life Saving Great Britain Event Manager, echoed the excitement, saying:
“To have the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series at Fistral Beach is something so special and it means a lot to Surf Life Saving Great Britian to be hosting this event. It’s so inspiring to see these elite athletes competing on our shores and bringing such a dynamic, high-energy series to our UK audience and we look forward to not only an incredible event but cementing this stop as a must attend event in the years to come.”
