THE PREMIER INTERNATIONAL SURF CRAFT SERIES.

WHERE THE WORLD MEETS THE OCEAN.

SHAW AND PARTNERS WORLD OCEAN SERIES USA SOUTH BAY DOZEN - WRAP

THAT'S A WRAP – LOS ANGELES

History has officially been made.

The Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series landed on American shores for the very first time, and what a way to introduce the sport to the USA.

Hosted alongside the iconic South Bay Dozen, the day showcased everything that makes surf sports so special  world-class racing, incredible athletes, passionate volunteers and a community that came together to celebrate the ocean.

Across every discipline we saw thrilling finishes, breakout performances and familiar champions continue their winning ways. Emily Doyle extended her incredible Ironwoman streak in a dramatic sprint finish, Hayden Hemmens dominated with victories in both the Swim and Iron, Jasmine Rayward announced herself with standout performances throughout the day, while USA surf sports legend Brian Murphy reminded everyone that experience is timeless with an impressive Board victory.

Beyond the racing, the atmosphere was something truly special. Hundreds of athletes, families and supporters packed the beach to celebrate the South Bay Dozen's 20th anniversary while also supporting the incredible work of the Jimmy Miller Foundation. The energy from the local community made our first visit to Los Angeles one we'll never forget.

We also celebrated in style with our biggest-ever Generational Prize Giving. Every athlete earned raffle tickets simply by racing, with more tickets giving competitors a greater chance of taking home one of the incredible prizes. We increased the prize pool from $20,000 to $30,000, with the first twelve names drawn each receiving a major prize valued at over $500, including a brand-new Race One 10'6 Mal, surfboards, wetsuits and plenty more.

A huge thank you goes to every athlete who travelled to compete, our officials, volunteers, partners, sponsors and the South Bay Dozen team for helping make this event such a success. Events like these simply aren't possible without the incredible people behind the scenes.

This wasn't just another race it was the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series. Bringing the world's best ocean athletes to the United States has been a milestone moment, and we're only just getting started.

Stay tuned for the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series launch for 2026/27.
