SHAW AND PARTNERS WORLD OCEAN SERIES MANLY SURF OPEN 10,000 PTS - PREVIEW

2026 SHAW AND PARTNERS MANLY OPEN SURF CLASSIC

ONE OF THE LONGEST RUNNING AND MOST ICONIC EVENTS ON THE AUSTRALIA RACING CALENDAR

It’s a basic law of gravity that what goes up must come down. And yet, so far this 2025/26 season, a significant group of Ironman and Ironwoman athletes across ski, swim and board disciplines have done the opposite in the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series. Now, the series descends on one of the most anticipated weekends on the calendar, the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series Manly Surf Classic. With swell and wind on the forecast, we’re set for unpredictable, high-octane racing and truly cinematic conditions. Expect tight margins, big calls, and athletes forced to read the ocean at its rawest. There’s excitement, there’s tension and with the series title taking shape, this weekend feels like lock-in time for anyone with championship ambitions.

This weekend is full of storylines.

  • Ali Day needs a result  the series picture tightens if he doesn’t deliver at Manly.

  • Will Lana Rogers run away with the win and take control of the series?

  • Big surf forecast  ocean IQ could matter more than raw power.

  • One wave could blow open the title race across multiple disciplines.

  • Pressure on the favourites as Manly demands smart racing out of the break.

  • Dark horses thrive when conditions turn heavy ,who steps up?
