SHAW AND PARTERS WORLD OCEAN SERIES BRIGHTON JETTY CLASSIC 5,000 PTS - PREVIEW

Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series – Brighton Jetty Classic  5,000 pts

We’re back in the City of Churches, with Adelaide hosting the second-last stop of the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series Southern State Showdown. Brighton Beach sets the stage for a crucial weekend of racing as the series tightens and championship momentum begins to take shape.

This event is a pivotal moment for both Surf Life Saving South Australia and the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series, driving participation, visibility, and growth for one of Australia’s most iconic sports. With strong local support and a deep surf-sports culture, Brighton continues to prove itself as a standout venue on the national calendar.

Looking ahead to the weekend, an abundance of athletes have travelled far and wide to descend on Brighton Beach. Headlining the field is Manly’s Hayden Cotter, who has enjoyed significant success across recent World Ocean Series campaigns and arrives in strong form. But write off South Australia at your peril. Throughout the Southern State Showdown, SA talent particularly across the board and skihas been nothing short of exceptional, matching it with some of the best athletes in the world and ready to defend home sands once again.

There are only 2 more sleeps until our World Ocean Series Brighton Jetty Classic, an exciting surf sports event held at BSLSC and now in it's second year.

For those competing we have a few fun updates to our carnival circular:

• We have added a prize for the 6 person mixed taplin - 3 x $85 Finis and 3 x $85 Jayd vouchers
• The program has been updated based on the number of entries, there are a couple of events that are straight to final. As usual the program is a guide and we will move events around on the day of necessary to keep the program running

• Presentations of medals and prizes will be at the end of the event under the marquee in front of the club.

Don't forget we will be giving away a brand new Race One Surf Craft Mal! Competitors will be enterered into the prize draw for each event they race in, more races = more entries, but you must be in attendance at presentations to win the prize!

There will be a BBQ, food and coffee carts, DJ and live bands throughout the day so bring your family and friends along for the day to watch the event and see our fantastic Brighton Jetty Sculptures along the Esplanade.

We'll be backing it up on Sunday with Channel 7 Brighton Jetty Classic and the inaugural Foundation Float (open to all ages above 10). Registrations are now closed but you can still do a late entry on the day. What an epic weekend we have lined up!
