THE PREMIER INTERNATIONAL SURF CRAFT SERIES.

WHERE THE WORLD MEETS THE OCEAN.

PIRAN PHILLIPS : TOP FIVE EUROPEAN LADIES TO IMPACT THE SHAW AND PARTNERS WORLD OCEAN SERIES WITHIN FIVE YEARS. THAT YOU PROBABLY HAVE NOT HEARD OFF YET.

Men move over, the ladies are here.

Nikita Nijssen-Seran of France has shown the way for European women to kick start their lifesaving career in Australia, she’s claimed an Aussie Bronze in the u19 Ironwomen and made WOS board finals.

Elise Daudignon has also made WOS finals down under, finishing a career best 5th at Manly 2024.

So… to all the Europeans ladies, it is possible, to chuck on a wetsuit, battle a few winter chills, jump on a 24-hour flight, and take the fight to the Aussies and best of the Kiwis.

Keep this saved, because these women can create history.

MY TOP FIVE EUROPEAN FEMALES TO IMPACT THE WORLD OCEAN SERIES WITHIN FIVE YEARS. That you probably have not heard off yet.

Let’s introduce the women.

Rosie Edwards

Nationality: British

Club: Gyllyngvase

Age: 21

Strength: Ski

About: Edwards is regarded as one of the best ocean ski paddlers in the world. She finished 3rd at the 2025 Ocean Racing World Championships as a Senior, winning the u23s. The Brit also finished on the podium at The Doctor 2025 alongside Jemma Smith.

Plenty of British lifesaving titles have been claimed by Edwards, as well as winning the Ski race at the WOS UK 2025. Edwards can touchdown in Aus now and make a difference.

Farli Abram-Bridges

Nationality: British

Club: Woolacombe

Age: 16

Strength: Board

About: Abram-Bridges has already begun her board paddling dominance in the UK amongst the senior ranks. In 2025 board races she claimed the Oceanperf Challenge UK title and WOS UK ahead of Burleigh’s Holly Holmesby.

In the WOS, run finishes are the winning moments, the Brit is no stranger to a sprint. She has won Youth European medals in the beach sprint. So, if you find yourself on the same wave as Farli… GOOD LUCK!

3-

Ana Bailon Barrios

Nationality: Spanish

Club: Salvamento y Socorrismo Dragones

Age: 18

Strength: Board

About: Barrios burst onto the scene at the Youth World Championships in 2024 when she claimed the board rescue just ahead of the Aussies. In 2025 she became the Youth European champion in the board race and has shown no sign of slowing down.

Lay down paddlers are rare in Aus, they’re unheard of in Europe, but Barrios is breaking that barrier, coin it now… ‘The Spanish Wriggler’.

Evie Wong

Nationality: British

Club: Rhoose

Age: 21

Strength: Ski

About: Wong claimed second at the World Championships in 2024, pipped across the line by Naomi Scott who had already won the Aussies ski race that year. When Wong arrives in Australia, she will come with a bang, take down names and walk away with money.

If you touch the sand the same time as Wong, you’ve lost, she’s also the 2025 European Beach sprint champion. So look out, because Wong is rumoured to arrive on Australian shores next season.

In Liddane’s first season in Aus and now part of the North Burleigh surf squad, Liddane is placed 19th overall in this season’s swim rankings having only done three finals. The impact of the Irish is happening now, and it will only get stronger.
