Following an exceptional 2025/26 season, the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series is back for 2026/27. We are proud to announce the first part of the new season calendar, highlighted by a three-leg international series. The tour will kick off in Great Britain and across to the South of France and end in the United States of America for the First time ever in the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series.
This international block signals a major step forward for the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series, reinforcing its position as the global home of elite surf sports racing. After a breakout year that saw the World Ocean Series expand into Europe for the first time, the 2026/27 calendar builds on that momentum bringing together established surf lifesaving nations with emerging international markets. The addition of the United States not only broadens the Series’ global footprint but also opens the door to a new audience, new athletes, and a fresh competitive dynamic.
The opening round in Newquay, Great Britain, will see athletes take on the raw, unpredictable conditions of the UK coastline a true test of skill, adaptability, and toughness. One week later, the Series moves to Hossegor, France, a world-class surf destination known for its powerful beach breaks and high-performance racing conditions. The international leg will then conclude at Torrance Beach in California, where the sport’s American roots meet a fast-growing high-performance scene, setting the stage for a historic first appearance on US sand.

“The Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series in the UK and France is exactly what lifesaving has wanted and needed for a long time.
Us Brits and the French are ready to bring the fight to the Aussies’ long reign at the top of the sport. Having the World Ocean Series here is a huge step toward making that a reality.
This is a chance for Europeans to show what we’re made of. I just hope a few Aussies and Kiwis make the trip, brave the wetsuits, and try to challenge us on our home beaches.”
Information on each event is now available on our website.
