We’re going over the ditch as the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series lands in New Zealand for the Gisborne 5,000, taking place 6–7 February 2026. Set on the stunning East Coast of the North Island, Gisborne offers crystal-blue water, clean ocean lines and a vibrant local surf culture,the perfect backdrop for fast, technical and international-flavoured racing.
Athletes from Australia and New Zealand will go head-to-head for 5,000 crucial series points, with the trans-Tasman rivalry adding extra heat to every race. With big energy on the beach and a fresh international stop on the calendar, the Gisborne 5,000 is shaping up to be one of the standout events of the season.
